Black Spot Algae Treatment

Our technicians are experienced in the treatment & prevention of this stubborn type of algae, commonly seen in concrete pools. Before chemical treatment it is essential to determine - how many black Spots there are; a few hundred, black patches 10 cm across, black patches a metre across. Black spots have a waxy coating, which needs to be broken through.  Our Technicians brush the spores and add sufficient Algaecide to weaken and dissolve the waxy coating, killing the black spot algae.  As a preventative our Technicians will adjust chlorine production, lower pH levels and recommend an Algaecide be added as routine maintenance.
